But it's embarrassing how quickly he answers and his stillness breaks so that he can run a hand through his hair. Felix smiles, but this time it's faintly awkward.]

Sorry. I mean...it's not that. I just didn't, um, think that you... [Oh my gods, he's embarassed for himself, this is terrible. Felix actually laughs, though, glancing down at the bar. This is ridiculous and he kind of knows it.] I was just surprised.

[His shoulders sink in a - well, not a sigh of relief, but he definitely hadn't realized he was holding his breath until Felix gave him a reason not to. He can't resist a smile at that laugh, though, the slow tumble and crack tension breaking as infectious as the nervousness had been.]
